EXPERTISE
“Now more than ever, I see an urgent need to cultivate ag tech innovations as a critical enabler of global food security and national security. ~ Paul Schickler
KNOW - HOW
ACCELERATING INNOVATION
Deep understanding of the resources and culture needed to advance the profitability and sustainability of corn, soybeans, wheat and rice – be that at a large company or start-up environment.
LEADING THROUGH CHANGE
Led one of the world’s largest agribusinesses through two substantial mergers. First the acquisition of Pioneer Hi-Bred by DuPont in 1997; then the merger of DuPont and Dow Agriscience in 2019. Between both mergers, the company expanded international operations, delivered new tools to farmers, and build a culture of respect, safety and integrity.
FOSTERING COLLABORATION
Experience creating a “systems approach” to support supply chain resiliency to shifting consumer demand, market dynamics, climate change and technology innovation. Today’s expectation for speed and disruption requires new players to help co-create our future and participate in the higher good of feeding the world.
INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION
Mentored hundreds of young ag-professionals who have gone on to lead large agribusinesses, ag tech companies and organizations around the world. Engaging youth is critical to ensuring a viable food supply in the future – this is a strongly held belief and personal commitment to make a difference.
To do this, we must continue to enable next generation farmers and youth to co-create a positive future for us all by expanding career opportunities across the food system, in rural America and in farming communities around the world. ~ Paul Schickler
